#theauxputmeon: DellaXOZ

DellaXOZ is a star! The Manchester teen is a fire songwriter and a strong proponent of the 2000s pop revival movement that has been spreading in the UK. Her music has concurrent alt feels and electronic music elements. She messes with the tempo of her voice in really unique ways and will even step into her rapper bag and drop a verse or two.

“Where do I Belong?” her most recent release, is the song above. She strings these lethargic melodies into an eerie, melancholy verse. The song builds slowly into a feathered climax that still feels unresolved by the end. She closes by asking the question again for the final time “where do I belong?” At that point, I’m an inconsolable wreck. That girl can write!

“AHH!!,” the song up top, dropped earlier this year and is one of my favorite songs by her. The song is only like a minute and thirty seconds long, but she pulls us through a million frantic emotions. The best word I can use to describe the song is chunky. It’s about how overwhelming overthinking can be, and her screaming her way through half the song is proof that she is a legend!
