Rebranding as Brunette Champion, Bay Area native Bianca Ocampo is on the come up of singer songwriters that filter raw emotion through the lens of indie rock. Fans might know her as Urbanation, but her 2022 debut EP The Luxury of Living Slow introduces a new persona and a new sound. The Luxury of Living Slow encapsulates the anxieties of growing up and navigating the capitalist hellscape as a young post grad. Ocampo’s songwriting is beautiful as it is personal. Her words express the feeling of despair that comes with navigating new territory while simultaneously showcasing hope and optimism through it all.
